Core Concepts

Atlas is composed of a small set of primitives that combine into every workflow.

Panels

A panel is a stand-alone view of one data domain — Markets, Watchlist, AI Chat, Security, etc. Panels can be opened side-by-side, resized, and saved as part of a layout.

Layers

The globe renders multiple layers simultaneously: vessels (AIS), aircraft (ADS-B), news pins, custom markers. Each layer can be toggled and filtered independently.

Watchlists

A watchlist is an ordered list of instruments (tickers, FX pairs, crypto, commodities) you want to track. Watchlists persist across sessions and can drive alerts.

Timeline

The timeline is a horizontal scrubber across the bottom of the screen. Moving it replays vessel positions, aircraft tracks, and historical event pins for the selected moment — useful for investigative work and post-mortems.

AI chat

The AI chat sees what you have open. Ask "explain the move on AAPL today" and it pulls quote history and recent news from your active Markets panel rather than guessing.

Every layout state has a permalink. Share it and your colleague opens the same panels, the same tickers, and the same globe state.
