Atlas for traders
This guide is for active traders who want a single screen for equities, FX, and crypto. It assumes the Quick Start is done.

Daily flow
Pre-market
- Open Today's Markets drawer — read the AI summary first to anchor the day's narrative.
- Scan Market dashboards heatmap for sector divergence.
- Check News for symbols on your watchlist over the last 12 hours.
- Set or refresh price alerts on key levels.
Intraday
- Watchlist focused on the canvas — click any row to open the Market panel.
- Use views
1–5shortcuts to switch between Portfolio / Candle / Performance / Technical / Fundamental. - For "why is this moving" questions, ask AI chat with the symbol focused — the answer is grounded in the active panel's data, not training-data lore.
- For breakout setups, combine a price-threshold alert with a volume-spike alert on the same symbol.
Post-market
- Close out positions in Market panel → Portfolio view; closed positions move to historical attribution.
- Review the day's fired alerts — re-arm any one-shot alerts you still want active.
- Save a permalink of any chart you want to come back to.
Watchlist hygiene
- Keep the active watchlist under 30 symbols. Beyond that the panel scrolls heavily and focus suffers.
- Move long-tail "watching but not trading" tickers to a separate saved screen instead of the watchlist.
- Periodically prune fired alerts on closed positions — they don't auto-prune.
Alerts that earn their keep
- Stop-out level, set ~5% under your average cost from the Portfolio view.
- Resistance breakout, combining price threshold + volume spike with AND combinator.
- News on this name, keyword alert tagged to the symbol.
Limits to know
- The free Finnhub tier is delayed for some exchanges — the Market panel labels delayed quotes explicitly. Don't trade off a delayed tape.
- Intraday history is capped at the rolling 30-day window of the upstream feed. Long lookbacks need the EOD view.
